Norwegian called it “gold in the forest”, it only grows in certain condition, mainly in mixed deciduous (means “the dropping of a part that is no longer needed or useful) and coniferous (needleleaf, like pines) forests. It is usually harvested in late summer til autumn in Norway. It is eatable and very delicious indeed, it has strong distinguishable and aromatic mushroom taste, doesn’t like the general tasteless mushrooms. We were lucky to find quite lots of it earlier.
